ABOUT THE THERAPIST
I am Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I received my Undergraduate double major degree in Psychology and Religion from Carleton University in Ottawa, and my Masters in Counselling & Spirituality from a joint program at Saint Paul University and the University of Ottawa.
Providing evidence-based, culturally informed therapy services, I bring many years of experience to my work and I am committed to respecting and empowering my clients in a safe, caring and non-judgmental way. My goal is to assist clients to discover and develop their own inner resources and strengths. I am also a Pastoral Counsellor recognizing the spiritual dimension of individuals and if this is a meaningful part of your life we will discuss it.
My approach is to incorporate elements from a variety of evidence-based clinical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness techniques.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am a Certified Anger Management Facilitator, Speaker, Workshop/Seminar Facilitator and Presenter.
